MG Motor PH opens pre-selling of G50 PHEV; yours for PHP 1,398,888
MG Motor Philippines had one more surprise at this year's Manila International Auto Show (MIAS). Apart from launching the new MG5, the automaker also showed the G50 PHEV.
That's right, the plug-in hybrid version of the MPV made an appearance at the annual auto show and is being previewed for Filipino customers. Not only does it mark a significant step in MG's electrification journey, but the G50 PHEV represents the brand's vision of practical, family-oriented mobility—now enhanced with advanced PHEV technology.

Under the hood, the G50 PHEV is powered by a 1.5L four-cylinder engine that's assisted by an electric motor and a battery pack. MG says the G50 PHEV puts out a combined 299 PS and 280 Nm of torque. Battery specifications have yet to be revealed, although MG did say that the G50 PHEV can do up to 95 km on electric power, based on the WLTP cycle.
With a fully charged battery and a full 60-liter tank of gasoline, however, MG claims the G50 PHEV can do up to 1,415 km, based on the CLTC cycle. That means fewer trips to the pumps and the ability to run on electric power on the fly.
Design-wise, the G50 PHEV slightly differs when compared to the ICE-powered G50 models. For starters, the plug-in hybrid MPV gets a unique set of LED daytime running lights, a semi-closed-off grille, automatic LED headlights, and faux metal accents on the front bumper. It also has its own set of alloy wheels that are different from the ICE version of the G50.

Hop aboard, and the G50 PHEV welcomes occupants with a newly designed dashboard anchored by dual 12.3-inch displays for the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system. It also supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for a more intuitive connectivity experience.
Forgot to bring a charging cable? Worry not, as the G50 PHEV has a wireless charging pad to recharge your mobile phone. Other available amenities inside the G50 PHEV include: USB charging ports, leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, captain seats on the second row, and a power tailgate.

MG Motor Philippines is now available for pre-selling and is priced at PHP 1,398,888. This makes the G50 PHEV one of the most affordable plug-in hybrid MPVs in the market. MG Motor Philippines is also offering an exclusive reservation promo for customers who secure a unit early. For just PHP 1,000, MG will throw in a free 7kW wall charger upon release of the vehicle.

On top of that, an instant PHP 10,000 discount will apply, with a further PHP 10,000 discount for every month of waiting should unit availability be delayed.
The MG G50 PHEV will be available in the following colors: Andes Gray, Pearl Black, and Pearl White.
Check out the MG G50 PHEV until April 12 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila.
