MX-5 35th Anniversary Edition limited to only 15 examples
After making its debut in Japan last year at the 2024 Mazda Fan Festa, Bermaz Auto Philippines has officially revealed the 2025 Mazda MX-5 35th Anniversary Edition. Revealed at the Sports Cars For A Cause Year 6 in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) last weekend, the 35th Anniversary Edition will only be available in limited numbers and comes with exclusive features.

First and foremost, all examples of the MX-5 35th Anniversary Edition are painted in Artisan Red Premium Metallic. It has a three-layer finish which produces a deep, dark red hue that complements the tan-finished soft top. The special edition MX-5 also comes with 17-inch alloy wheels finished in bright silver which adds to the vehicle's sporty looks.
Hop inside and the roadster features the MX-5 35th Anniversary Edition logo on the headrests as a reminder for would-be owners they are in something special. The upper door panels and AC vents are also color-matched to accentuate the rich color-shift properties of Artisan Red Premium Metallic. Tan Nappa leather seats as well as matching tan carpeting and floor mats, complete the roadster's premium look and feel.

Providing infotainment inside the MX-5 35th Anniversary Edition is an 8.8-inch display that's powered by the latest Mazda Connect with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other features like automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers, dual USB-C ports, and a 9-speaker Bose sound system complete the amenities inside the MX-5.
As before, the MX-5 continues to be powered by a 2.0L SkyActiv-G four-cylinder engine that makes 184 PS at 7000 rpm and 205 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm. The engine is then paired exclusively to a 6-speed manual transmission. That's right, the 35th Anniversary Edition special is strictly a manual-only roadster.

Like the other 2025 MX-5 MT variants, the MX-5 35thAnniversary Edition amplifies Mazda’s “Jinbai-Ittai” philosophy of “horse and rider as one” with two new circuit-developed technologies; DSC-TRACK mode and Asymmetric Limited Slip Differential. This is on top of the sport-tuned Bilstein dampers.
“This special edition is 35 years in the making. The 2025 MX-5 is the most capable version of our roadster yet, and we are thankful to the more than 1,500 MX-5 customers in the country who have become part not just of the MX-5 community in the Philippines, but also as part of the global community. We are delighted to share this milestone with each and every one of you,” said Steven Tan, president of Mazda Philippines.

In case you didn't get to see the limited edition MX-5 last weekend in BGC, the MX-5 35th Anniversary Edition will be on display at the North Court of the Power Plant Mall in Rockwell, Makati from February 25 to March 2, 2025.
The special edition roadster is limited to only 15 units in the country and has a sticker price of PHP 2.490 million.
