ill Garage of Japan gives the Suzuki Jimny a Toyota Tamaraw-inspired makeover
The Suzuki Jimny continues to be a favorite among 4x4 enthusiasts that treat the mini SUV as a blank canvass. With its boxy exterior and loads of aftermarket support, there are plenty of ways to dress up the Suzuki Jimny.
One Japanese tuning shop by the name of ill Garage has come up with one heck of a kit for Suzuki's tiny but capable 4x4. It's called the CH:AMP conversion kit and it essentially face swaps the Jimny's face for the Toyota Tamaraw (AKA Hilux Champ).

From its namesake, the CH:AMP conversion gives the Jimny new rectangular headlights, a boxier grille, and a more rugged bumper that reflects the same look as the Hilux Tamaraw. It also comes with aftermarket alloy wheels wrapped in chunky off-road tires, lowering springs that drop the ride height by 1.5 inches, and faux tow hooks at the front. There are no pictures of the rear so we can't tell if ill Garage made any changes to the back.
Hop inside, and the tuner was busy giving the Jimny an old school vibe thanks to the new leather upholstery. The retro-inspired leather seats are finished in either Cognac Brown or Charcoal Black and are complemented by braided inserts and rear storage pockets.

The CH:AMP conversion kit is available for both the three-door and five-door versions of the Jimny. ill Garage can do the entire conversion but will also allow customers to do individual parts. For those who are planning to get one, the base version with halogen headlights starts at JPY 360,800 (or PHP 138,430) and goes all the way to JPY 386,100 (or PHP 148,137). Paint and installation will cost extra, depending on the what the customer wants to put on their Jimny.

For those who are thinking of dressing up their Jimnys, ill Garage's conversion kit could inspire owners to modify their 4x4s.
