BMW PH celebrates 50th anniversary of the 3 Series with 318i Professional
The G20 3 Series may already be due for a full model change, but that hasn't stopped BMW Philippines distributor SMC Asia Car Distributors Corp. from introducing a new variant of the revered sedan.
Making its Philippine debut is the new BMW 318i Professional, which serves as the latest iteration of of 3 Series that blends performance, technology, and elegance. With the 3 Series celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, the new 318i Professional continues the nameplate's legacy that combines hallmark BMW driving dynamics, intuitive digitalization, and elevated comfort.
Starting with the exterior, the BMW 318i Professional comes with 18-inch alloy wheels that feature a V-spoke design and are complemented by the M high-gloss Shadowline exterior trim that gives it a more sophisticated look. It also benefits from Comfort Access, which gives the 318i Professional keyless entry, automatic tailgate operation, rain-sensing wipers, and automatic driving lights control.
Other exterior features available on the 318i Professional are the revised LED headlights with distinct lighting signatures, redesigned front & rear bumpers, park distance control (PDC) for the front & rear, and a reverse camera for extra peace of mind while parking.
Get inside, and the BMW Live Cockpit Plus welcomes occupants, along with the BMW Widescreen Display that delivers crisp visuals for navigation, entertainment, and vehicle data. Technophiles will also be happy to know that wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay come as standard in the 318i Professional.
Further enhancing the intelligent ecosystem inside the 3 Series is BMW ConnectedDrive, which keeps the driver informed and connected with real-time services such as navigation updates, remote vehicle functions, and safety alerts. This suite of digital features allows owners to interact with their vehicle through the My BMW App, offering convenience and control even when away from the car. Serving as another layer of safety & security are the Driving Assistant and Parking Assistant systems, which give the driver lane keeping, collision prevention, and automated parking features.
As far as upholstery is concerned, the 318i Professional redefines premium comfort with its blend of luxury materials and practical sophistication. Under the hood, the 318i Professional is powered by a 2.0L TwinPower Turbo inline-four that makes 156 PS with 250 Nm of torque. Power is then transferred to an 8-speed Steptronic automatic gearbox, complete with paddle shifters. Drive modes available in the 318i Professional include Comfort, Eco, Pro, and Sport.
The BMW 318i Professional will only be available in limited numbers across BMW dealerships nationwide, which include Autoallee BMW in Eton Centris, RSA Motors Greenhills and Libis, Pampanga Premier Cars BMW, and Visayas Motor Works in Cebu.
