LeBron shows off his factory-custom S 680
We Pinoys have long embraced basketball as part of our culture, and it’s hard to find anyone who doesn’t know LeBron James. Known to fans as “King James,” he stands as the NBA’s all-time leading scorer and continues to add to a growing list of historic milestones, all while showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
Recently, “King James” made waves off the court, this time in the fast lane. The NBA superstar and noted petrolhead has just added a factory-custom Maybach S 680 to his ever-growing car collection.

Ultra-exclusive twins
LeBron teamed up with Mercedes-Maybach to create ultra-exclusive S 680 twins through the brand’s MANUFAKTUR Made to Measure program. One belongs to LeBron, while the other will be auctioned to benefit the LeBron James Family Foundation, a nonprofit that helps underprivileged kids in his hometown of Akron, Ohio, stay in school and supports their families.
“I have the incredible opportunity to be part of the creative process, and the customized twin Mercedes-Maybach S-Classes. One for my collection, and then one that’s a near-identical version to auction off for my foundation to support my families in Akron, which is very special to my heart,” said James.

“There will be only two in the whole world that was ever made like this, which is super special and super unique, and this is an experience that I couldn’t pass up on. Obviously, thinking about my kids and families in Akron, that are unbelievable, and hopefully we continue to shed light on them in a positive way in my community.”
LeBron gave fans an exclusive look at what sets his factory-custom Maybach apart. He showed off the custom “LJ crown” logos on the exterior and interior, which is a nod to his “King James” nickname. He also praised the striking non-metallic ivory exterior paired with stormy blue interior accents of the S 680. Inside, the seats are also “stitched in porcelain,” while a personal touch comes from his kids’ birthdays etched into the driver’s side scuff plate, turning luxury into something unmistakably his own.
Perhaps what truly sets this car apart is its legroom, custom-tailored to LeBron’s specifications. Standing at 6’9”, his towering frame presents a challenge in many vehicle models. But in this custom S 680, LeBron says he can comfortably stretch out in the backseat to “take naps” on the way to practice or a game, proof that this car was designed with a superstar’s comfort in mind.

Under the hood sits a 621 PS, 6.0L V12 capable of launching the car from 0–100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds, paired with a 9G‑Tronic nine‑speed transmission that sends power to all four wheels. The SRP for a “regular” 2026 Mercedes‑Maybach S 680 sits around USD 244,000–245,000 (around PHP 15 million), but a heavily customized MANUFAKTUR Made to Measure model like LeBron’s can stretch into the upper USD 400,000–500,000 range (up to PHP 30 million).
If an ultra-exclusive vehicle like this were imported into the Philippines, layered taxes and duties, plus shipping, could quickly push the total landed cost to around PHP 50 million, or maybe more.
