2024 Kia EV Day held in Taiwan
Movement has always been a part of Kia’s DNA as a brand. And for the Asia Pacific region, Kia has marked a significant milestone with the celebration of the 2024 Kia EV Day.
Held in Taiwan, the 2024 Kia EV Day showcases Kia’s commitment as a sustainable mobility solutions provider by displaying a lineup of market-ready and concept EVs.

Making its first appearance in the Asia Pacific region is the Kia EV3, which brings the innovative technology of the flagship EV9 SUV to set new standards in the compact EV SUV segment.

Embodying the latest in Kia’s driving technology, the EV3 is built on the E-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform and features Electric Dynamic Torque Vectoring Control (eDTVC) for optimum traction on the move. In a single charge, Kia says the EV3 can reach over 600 kilometers.
Designed with all the innovation and technology of the previous Kia EVs, the EV3 is primed to tap into the demand for an entry-level compact EV SUV. The EV3 will be launched in selected Asia Pacific countries by 2025. The EV5 was also showcased as a smaller alternative to the flagship EV6 and EV9 models.

Also making their first appearance for the Asia Pacific region are the EV4 and PV5 Concepts. The former wants to deliver modern luxury and an entirely new type of EV sedan with its striking silhouette.

The PV5 Concept, on the other hand, is Kia’s first dedicated Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV), a concept that goes beyond traditional vehicles to provide a total mobility solution that incorporates the ultimate in spatiality and software technology.

Designed with diversity in mind - from business to adventure, the PV5 sports a robust and simple design focused on delivering a customizable model tailormade to be multipurpose whether it is ride-hailing, logistics, or personal lifestyle activities.
All these vehicles are part of Kia’s plans for the Asia Pacific region, where they emphasized their goal of introducing a full lineup of EVs at various price points, along with expanding its range of hybrids to supplement its internal combustion engine models on sale in emerging markets.
Kia also intends to stabilize its EV production and battery supply system by operating 6 global EV production bases by 2025. Through these strategies aimed at accelerating the popularization of EVs, Kia aims to sell 1.6 million EVs annually by 2030.

“Our inaugural Asia Pacific region EV Day is a testament to Kia's unwavering dedication to sustainable mobility and our relentless commitment to driving the EV revolution forward,” said Ki Seok Ahn, President & CEO of Kia Asia Pacific HQ. “This event represents a significant milestone in our journey towards a more sustainable future, displaying our advanced EV technologies, innovative designs, and meticulous strategies. By prioritizing a customer-centric approach, we are not only meeting the demands of today's consumers but also setting the stage for a greener tomorrow. We are excited to have shared our vision and innovations with our valued partners and stakeholders across the APAC region.”
