Astara PH officially launches 2025 JMC EV2 and EV3 electric hatchbacks
JMC Philippines distributor Astara has officially joined the EV market with the launch of not one but two fully electric vehicles.
Making their Philippine debut are the 2025 JMC EV2 and EV3. Both EVs feature quirky designs that are paired with eye-catching exterior colors to catch everyone’s attention. Beginning with the EV2, this pint-sized EV measures 3500mm long, 1646mm wide, 1460mm tall, and has a 2340mm wheelbase. It also comes with projector-type halogen headlights and 14-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 165/65 tires. Available colors include Aurora White, Dynamic Green, and Future Cyan.

Powering the EV2 is a 15.86 kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery pack that drives a single electric motor that puts out 35 PS and 84 Nm of torque. On a full charge, JMC claims the EV2 can do up to 201 km and has a top speed of 105 km/h. It has a GB/T charging system, which can fully recharge the EV2’s battery to full in 8 to 10 hours via an AC charger.
When it comes to amenities, the EV2 is available with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, climate control, a beige interior, keyless entry, speed-sensing door locks, a reverse camera, rear parking sensors, hill-start assist, and a tire pressure monitoring system.
Up next is the slightly larger (and more powerful) EV3. This electric hatchback also comes in distinct colors like Aurora White, Dynamic Green, and Sky Blue. However, it’s the only one to be available with a nice shade of Chery Blossom Pink. Design-wise, it almost looks similar to the EV2, albeit it does come with a different grille, a sleeker set of LED headlights, 15-inch alloys with 165/65 tires, and wraparound LED taillights. In terms of size, the EV3 measures 3720mm long, 1640mm wide, 1535mm tall, and has a 2390mm wheelbase.

The EV3 gets its power from a 31.15 kWh ternary lithium battery pack with smart temperature control. The battery then supplies power to a single electric motor that produces 68 PS and 125 Nm of torque. JMC claims the EV3 can cover up to 330 km of range on a single charge and has a top speed of 115 km/h.
Unlike the EV2, the EV3 gets a Type 2 (CCS2) charging system that supports both AC and DC fast charging. The former can fully replenish the battery in 8 to 10 hours via a 3.3 kW AC charger. Meanwhile, the latter can recharge the battery from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes.
When it comes to interior amenities, the EV3 is available with a 10.1-inch floating touchscreen, climate control, a 360-degree panoramic camera system, rear parking sensors, leather upholstery, keyless entry, and an intelligent start/stop system.
The 2025 JMC EV2 can be yours for PHP 668,000 while the JMC EV3 is available for PHP 788,000.
