Featuring a boxy design that appears to have been inspired by the Land Rover Defender, the 2024 Jetour T2 features a bold and daring look. For those of you who may be wondering why, it's because Jetour's parent company Chery is Jaguar Land Rover's joint venture partner in China. The two have been doing R&D, technology transfers and manufacturing knowledge sharing since 2012.

The Jetour T2 gets rugged bumpers, squared-off LED headlights with eye-catching LED daytime running lights, generous black body cladding, vertical LED taillights, and a rectangular spare tire carrier.

Open the doors and the T2 greets the driver & passengers with a pair of massive displays. The first one measures 10.25 inches and serves as the instrument cluster and multi-info display. Meanwhile, the one on the center of the dashboard is a 15.6-inch tablet-inspired touchscreen that supports countless wireless connectivity features like Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth. There is also a wide array of USB charging ports on the center console and throughout the cabin to keep your mobile devices juiced up.

Despite its size, the T2 is strictly a 2+3 crossover SUV with an emphasis on delivering a 4x4 luxury ride. Other features available in the Jetour T2 include; dual-zone automatic climate control, rear air vents, LED ambient lighting, leather upholstery, a wireless charging pad, power-adjustable front seats with a cooling function, a panoramic sunroof and a 12-speaker sound system from Sony.

Under the hood, the 2024 Jetour T2 is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that cranks out 254 PS at 5500 rpm along with 390 Nm of pull at 1750 - 4000 rpm. Power is then shifted to a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission and a real-time 4WD system.

Prior to its launch that's happening at MIAS, Jetour Auto Philippines has shared that the T2 has already underwent testing in Baguio City and in Porac, Pampanga. The latter served as the real-world test bed for the T2's 4X4 tech, particularly its terrain management system and water wading sense that works similarly to that of the Defender.

When it comes to straight line performance, Jetour Auto PH also shared that the T2 could reach 100 km/h from a standstill in 8 seconds.
