2024 Jeep Wrangler Sport makes PH comeback with new & updated features
After being on hiatus for the local market, Jeep distributor Inchcape Philippines has brought back a favorite model of the Wrangler. This is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler Sport; it’s better than ever and packs more features than its predecessor.
For the company, the reintroduction of the New Jeep Wrangler 4-Door Sport attests to Inchcape Philippines’ pursuit to power better mobility in the country, by providing great experiences to its partners and customers.
For its return to the Philippine market, the 2024 Wrangler Sport features a sleeker front end courtesy of an updated front fascia. It consists of a molded black front bumper, fully illuminated LED daytime running lights, LED foglights, and LED automatic headlights. Also worth mentioning on the Wrangler Sport are the signature matte black Jeep badges on the side, blacked-out door handles & side mirror caps, the iconic Wrangler decal, and the stylish 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 245/75/R17 all-terrain rubber.
Like any Jeep Wrangler, the Sport version also comes with a rear-mounted spare tire carrier, an integrated window antenna, and a black 3-piece hardtop that’s removable to let drivers turn the 4x4 into an open-air vehicle.
Hop aboard the 2024 Wrangler Sport and the SUV welcomes you into a more high-tech cabin. First off is the massive 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system powered by the latest uConnect. It supports wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, GPS navigation, five user profiles, a fully customizable home screen, Bluetooth connectivity that can pair 2 phones simultaneously, and off-road info pages. The touchscreen also supports over-the-air (OTA) updates for quick installation (or update) of new features.
Aside from that, the Wrangler Sport also gets a 7-inch TFT digital instrument cluster, a driver seat height adjuster, heated front seats, 60:40 split-folding rear seats, a 9-speaker Alpine sound system, illuminated cupholders, a 12V power outlet for the rear, and cloth seats all around.
Under the hood, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler Sport is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four that’s mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The engine makes 268 PS at 5250 rpm along with 400 Nm of torque at 3000 rpm. Complementing the 2.0L turbo is a Selec-Trac full-time 4WD system, a Dana M186 front axle, a Dana M200 rear axle, a differential front axle with disconnect, and skid plates for the transmission, transfer case, and fuel tank.
For peace of mind, the 2024 Wrangler Sport also has smart driver aids like; Adaptive Cruise Control w/ Stop, Selec-Speed Control, Advanced Brake Assist, Electronic Roll Mitigation, Electronic Stability Control, Full Speed Forward Collision Warning Plus, Hill Start Assist, Traction Control, Trailer Sway Damping, and Rear Park Assist with reverse camera.
