F1, Hot Wheels announce multi-year partnership
Here’s one way to turn your kids, or your favorite inaanak into a Formula One fan.
Formula One and Mattel, Inc. – the makers of Hot Wheels scale models have announced a new global licensing partnership, which sees the latter make die-cast F1 cars in 1:64 scale.
The partnership will also see Hot Wheels be featured in Formula One race weekends, as spectator events and retail outlets are popping up at select events from the 2025 season onwards.
Hot Wheels and F1 is also releasing a one-of-a-kind F1 scale model with a special Hot Wheels livery. The car features the number 68, along with interchangeable tires, a full metal body chassis, and a bespoke F1 casting. This will be released before the full Hot Wheels range that features all Formula One teams roll out in 2025.
“This exciting collaboration with Mattel will bring together the adrenaline of motor racing and the excitement of toy cars and provide opportunities to see the fine details that go into an F1 car, all in the palm of your hand,” said Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer of F1.
F1 fans in the country, better check your nearby toy stores for these. For sure, these will sell like hotcakes.
