Honda reveals one-of-a-kind Civic e:HEV finished in the most silver paint
Believe it or not, Honda has been making hybrid vehicles for a quarter of a century. It all started in 1999 when the automaker unveiled the Honda Insight. In celebration of the brand's silver jubilee in producing electrified vehicles, Honda has unveiled a unique-looking Civic with the most silver paint job.
This was made possible after the automaker collaborated with renowned artist and color champion, Stuart Semple – inventor of the world's “Silveriest Silver”, “Pinkest Pink”, “Goldest Gold”, and “Blackest Black”. Semple supplied the one-off Civic e:HEV paint through his studio, Culture Hustle.

One of the unique features of the Silveriest Silver paint is that Semple created it with 64% real silver flakes and pigments blended in an acrylic suspension. Once the paint had been mixed thoroughly, the special silver paint was given to custom fabrication specialists to apply to the Civic e:HEV.
Over three days, a team of expert sprayers at The Syrup Room in Bournemouth, UK, cleaned and prepared the car’s bodywork in carefully climate-controlled conditions before administering multiple layers of the special paint. The team also used high-precision spraying equipment to apply the final coats of Silveriest Silver to create the unique celebratory Civic.

“Honda’s hybrid know-how is unmatched in the industry. In 1999 we set about building the world’s most fuel-efficient car, the revolutionary Insight, which was the first petrol-electric hybrid car in Europe. Today we offer a fully electrified model range, the majority of which feature our innovative e:HEV powertrain. It’s for these reasons we’ve marked 25 years of hybrid technology with the ultimate silver anniversary gift, the Silveriest Civic. And doesn’t it look fantastic,” said Nik Pearson, Honda Motor Europe General Manager, and Corporate Communications & Motorsport.

With Honda looking to add more e:HEV models in its lineup, the Civic e:HEV painted in the unique Silveriest Silver is one heck of a way for Honda to celebrate their 25th hybrid anniversary. Unfortunately for the motoring public, this special paint will only be reserved for one special Civic.
