LTO unveils homologation documents for 2025 Honda HR-V RS e:HEV
Earlier this year, Honda Cars Philippines Inc. (HCPI) sprung a surprise by previewing the electrified (and updated) HR-V for the 2025 model year. Not only does it get more goodies, but it gets a subtle exterior (and interior) refresh along with a new 1.5L e:HEV powertrain for the RS variant.
No exact specifications about its powertrain and pricing have been revealed just yet by HCPI. However, they did say that its image pricing will span between PHP 1.6 million to PHP 1.9 million. As far as initial features are concerned, the electrified crossover now comes with upgraded amenities like dual-zone climate control on high-grade variants, wireless connectivity for both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a redesigned center console, a wireless charging pad, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat.

Fast forward a month later, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) has released homologation papers regarding the HR-V RS e:HEV. Here, the LTO confirms the electrified crossover will come with a 1498cc (or 1.5L) engine that’s assisted by an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery pack. No output ratings were mentioned but if we base its specs from Thailand, the HR-V e:HEV makes a combined system output of 131 PS and 253 Nm of pull.
In terms of size, the HR-V RS e:HEV will measure 4387mm long, 1789mm wide, 1590mm tall, and will have a 2610 mm wheelbase. It will also have nearly 200mm of ground clearance, a curb weight of 1481 kg, and a cargo-carrying capacity of around 349 kg. Lastly, the vehicle will roll on 225/50 series tires wrapped in 18-inch alloy wheels.

With HCPI already pre-selling the HR-V RS e:HEV ahead of its official launch, we’re curious about the vehicle’s final pricing and full equipment list. But with the electrified HR-V already nearing the price range of bigger compact crossovers, it will be quite interesting just how much customers will go for the hybrid variant.
