The Audi flagship product returns with an improved driving experience
Frankfurt witnessed the revelation of the updated Audi A8 today. The Audi flagship product returns with a promise for an improved driving experience thanks to its vast engine line-up, lightweight body, and other innovations.
Significant weight reduction is attributed to the Audi Space Frame design. The ASF weighs 231 kg, about 40% less than a comparable steel construction, giving the A8 3.0 TFSI a curb weight of 1830 kg. The new model measures 5,120 mm long, 1,950 wide, and 1,460 mm tall.
Updates also include additions to the noise damping measures, a trunk with a bigger capacity, and the optional Matrix LED technology. Buyers can choose from 12 exterior colors including five new ones.

The new assistance system debuted along with the new A8. The system features the Audi active lane assist, head-up display, and night vision assistant.

Moreover, Audi has the Audi A8 L W12 quattro concept. It is powered by a 12-cylinder 6.3 liter engine that produces 500 PS. The normally aspirated engine can launch the car from 0-100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and can maintain a fuel consumption of 8.5 km/l. It has the newly-developed COD system that temporarily deactivates the fuel injection and ignition of six cylinders during low load. Audi also uses the Active Noise Cancellation in the W12 to retain a quiet composure. Intended to be the top model in the series, this exclusive concept has a limited run of 50 cars only.
