Aeolus Mage, M-Hero, Nammi, Rich 7, U-Tour now in PH
After launching its initial passenger car offering back in October last year, Dongfeng Motor Philippines has revealed five exciting models that will serve as the latest additions to its lineup under distributor Legado Motors, Inc.
Making their Philippine debut are the Aeolus Mage crossover, the U-Tour 7-seater MPV, the Rich 7 pick-up truck, plus two new EVs in the Nammi hatchback and the off-road-ready M-Hero.
Dongfeng Aeolus Mage

Starting with the Aeolus Mage, this is Dongfeng’s latest competitor in the compact crossover segment that’s populated by the likes of the GAC Emkoo, the Changan CS55, the Ford Territory, and the MG One.

That being said, the Aeolus Mage also packs a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, delivering 204 PS and 305 Nm of torque to the front wheels via a 7-speed wet-type dual-clutch transmission made by Getrag.

Inside, the Aeolus Mage welcomes you with a standard panoramic sunroof, leather seats, an impressive 13.2-inch central touchscreen display, and a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument panel to highlight its tech-laden interior.
Dongfeng Forthing U-Tour

If you want a Dongfeng that comes with 7 seats, they now have it in the country with the Forthing U-Tour MPV. Powered by a Mitsubishi-sourced 1.5-liter, four-cylinder turbo with 190 PS and 285 Nm of torque, the Forthing U-Tour MPV leans towards the luxury side of things by offering captain seats for the second row.

Size-wise, the Dongfeng Forthing U-Tour has the dimensions to go up against the likes of the GAC M6 Pro and the Toyota Innova in the MPV segment.

It also has plenty of amenities like captain seats on the second row, a panoramic sunroof, a high-tech touchscreen infotainment system, and LED ambient lighting.
Dongfeng Rich 7

Meanwhile, Dongfeng has a new addition to its Rich series of pick-up trucks. But this time, the new Rich 7 comes with a turbodiesel engine instead of an electric motor. It is powered by a 2.3-liter, four-cylinder turbodiesel that’s developed by Renault and Nissan.

The turbodiesel unit produces 166 PS and 420 Nm of torque and comes with a ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to all four wheels.

Fitted with all-terrain tires, a sports bar, and a snorkel for better confidence in deep water crossing, the Rich 7 also features front and rear differential locks, off-road protection frames, and a dedicated off-road display in the interior to add to its 4x4 capabilities.
Dongfeng Nammi EV

Dongfeng has also expanded its electric vehicle offering with the reveal of the Nammi hatchback. Measuring just over 4 meters long, the Nammi sits above the Nanobox, and serves as its more stylish and techy sibling that will go against the GWM Ora, the MG4, and the BYD Dolphin.

Equipped with a 5-inch LCD instrument panel, and a 12.8-inch central infotainment touchscreen display inside, the Nammi EV also impresses with its versatile interior. The front seats have a one-click lie-flat mode, and pull-out drawers under the glovebox for additional storage.

The Nammi EV’s front-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor puts out 95 PS and 160 Nm of torque and takes the hatchback to a top speed of 140 km/h. It has a 42.3 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery that gives it a range of up to 430 km using the CLTC cycle and comes with both an AC and DC plug for charging.
Dongfeng M-Hero
Last but definitely not least is Dongfeng’s EV for off-road enthusiasts – the M-Hero. The military-inspired EV arrives as the flagship offering of Dongfeng in the country and is being offered in limited quantities.

Equipped with four electric motors, the M-Hero’s powertrain generates a total of 1,088 PS and 1,400 Nm of torque. The huge 140 kWh battery gives the off-road EV a maximum range of up to 500 km under the CLTC cycle.

Aside from its generous ground clearance, big all-terrain tires, and a powerful electric motor to take on the rough stuff, the M-Hero also has rear-axle steering for better maneuverability off-road.
