DOE details fuel price increases for March 10 to 16

The Department of Energy (DOE) has released the official fuel price increase table for gasoline, diesel and kerosene. The fuel price increase will be staggered, starting from tomorrow, March 10, until March 16 next Monday.

As much as PHP 24.25 for diesel

The ongoing conflict in the Middle East is expected to drive diesel prices up significantly, with rates reaching as high as PHP 24.25 per liter. Shell will raise its diesel pump price to PHP 14.55 tomorrow, followed by additional increases of PHP 7.30 on March 11 and PHP 2.40 on March 12. Its gasoline prices will jump to a total of PHP 8.75 between March 10 and 12.

Meanwhile, gasoline will see its steepest rise at Seaoil, with prices jumping by as much as PHP 13.00 per liter between March 10 and 11. Its diesel prices will jump up to PHP 23.00 per liter during the same period.

For Petron, diesel prices are set to rise by a total of PHP 19.20 between March 10 and 12, while gasoline will increase by PHP 8.80 over the same period. Caltex will see its diesel prices climb to PHP 17.50 from March 10 to 16, with gasoline rising by PHP 7.00 during the same timeframe.

Total will raise diesel prices to PHP 20.20 between March 10 and 11, and gasoline to PHP 10.20 over the same period. Jetti’s diesel pump prices will increase to PHP 19.00 from March 10 to 13, while gasoline will jump to PHP 9.00 during the same period.

According to the DOE, the planned increases in petroleum prices will be implemented gradually following an agreement with these participating oil companies, aiming to prevent consumers from feeling the sudden impact of the Middle East situation on fuel costs.
