DFSK Philippines reveals zero-emissions work van called the EC75

Aside from revealing the mini EV Candy and the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) E5, DFSK Philippines has also revealed an electric work van in the form of the EC75. Billed as a heavy-duty EV that can carry heavy loads without a drop of fuel, the DFSK EC75 is both hardy and packed to the brim with features.

Beginning with its electric hardware, the EC75 is powered by a single electric motor that generates 95 PS and a generous 230 Nm of torque. It is then paired with a 50.38 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery pack that gives the electric van a range of up to 310 km based on the CLTC cycle.

Recharging the EC75 can be done in two ways. The first is by way of a fast DC charger that can recharge the battery from 20% to 80% in 45 minutes. The other way is via the 6.6 kWh AC charger that can recharge the van from 20% to 100% in around 10 hours and 50 minutes.

It has a heavy-duty load-bearing chassis with a reinforced steel plate spring design. DFSK claims the EC75 can easily load 1.5 tons of cargo and has a McPherson independent front suspension along with a rear leaf spring suspension. Also worth mentioning is its massive cargo area that can store long, wide, or tall loads with ease.

Despite being a utilitarian vehicle, the EC75 is equipped with some amenities like a multi-function steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity. It also has a cooled center glovebox, a USB-C charging port, and a wireless charging pad for mobile phones.

For extra peace of mind for the driver and other occupants, the DFSK EC75 comes with intelligent driver aids. These include; forward collision warning, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, and lane-keeping assist. Other safety features available are anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution, hill-hold control, electronic traction control, and a 360-degree camera system.
