2025 Chevrolet Captiva returns to PH market as a 7-seater
It's been around a decade since Chevrolet Philippines had an MPV offering in the form of the Spin. Today, the bow-tie brand reenters the 7-seater MPV market with a familiar-sounding nameplate.
After a long hiatus and being spotted on PH roads, Chevrolet Philippines has officially launched the 2025 Captiva. Serving as the brand's newest 7-seater MPV, it combines stylish SUV looks with a practical & high-tech cabin, along with a turbocharged 1.5L engine under the hood.

Combining the best features of a crossover and the practicality of an MPV, the 2025 Captiva gets an SUV-style exterior that complements its spacious cabin. It gets a unique front grille that’s complemented by a pair of sleek LED daytime running lights (DRLs). Below the DRLs are the headlights which come in LED form in the top-of-the-line Premier.

Along the side, the Captiva gets a unique kink towards the quarter glass panels and D-pillars. This gives the 7-seater MPV a more stylish appearance which is further highlighted by the wraparound LED taillights. Last, but not least, the Captiva comes with 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 215/55 series tires.
Size-wise, the Captiva measures 4670mm long, 1835mm wide, 1750mm tall, and has a 2750mm wheelbase. It also has a ground clearance of 180mm which should be more than enough to allow it to go over rough roads.

Open the doors and the 2025 Captiva welcomes occupants into a stylish and tech-laden cabin. Immediately greeting you is a massive 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system that comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Depending on the variant, the touchscreen is paired with either a 6-speaker or 4-speaker sound system.
For the driver, there’s a 7-inch digital instrument cluster that can display the trip computer, trip meter, fuel economy, speed setting (for cruise control), and tire pressure monitoring system. For extra peace of mind, all models of the Captiva are equipped with a USB port near the rearview mirror to allow drivers to install a dashcam.
Other key features available in the 2025 Captiva include automatic climate control, a panoramic glass sunroof, leather seats, 60:40 split second-row seats, 50:50 split third-row seats, smart keyless entry, push-button start, speed-sensing door locks, and rear air vents.

As far as cargo carrying capacity is concerned, Chevrolet claims the Captiva can carry 117 liters worth of luggage with all rows of seats deployed. Fold down the third-row and it can carry up to 666 liters worth of cargo. Should both the third and second rows of seats be folded, it has a humongous 1,709 liters worth of cargo space.

Powering the 2025 Captiva is a 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 150 PS at 5200 rpm and 255 Nm of torque at 1600 – 3600 rpm. The engine is then paired to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) that drives the front wheels.
Safety features available in the 2025 Captiva include anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution, brake assist, electronic stability control, traction control, front & rear parking sensors, hill-start assist, ISOFIX child seat anchors, a reverse camera, and 7 airbags.
Available colors for the 2025 Chevrolet Captiva are Black, Persian Red, Platinum Gray, and Summit White.
