Department of Energy has officially listed the Captive EV for PH

It looks like Chevrolet Philippines distributor Hariphil Asia Resources Inc. is set to join the electrified car market. This comes after the Department of Energy (DOE) officially recognized an upcoming vehicle from the bow-tie brand as an electric vehicle (EV).

That model is the Chevrolet Captiva EV, and we could expect it to be revealed sometime later this year. Listed as a 2026 model year vehicle, the Captiva EV measures 4745mm long, 1890mm wide, and 1675mm tall. It also has a wheelbase of 2800mm, a curb weight of 1,800 kg, and a gross weight of 2,260 kg.

The DOE listing also mentions that the Chevrolet Captiva EV puts out 150 kW (or 204 PS), comes with a 60 kWh battery pack, and is available in the Premier variant. Unfortunately, other detailed specifications about the Captiva EV for the Philippine market are not yet available.

Thanks to the wonders of the internet, however, we were able to check out its other specifications in other markets. Besides producing 204 PS, the Captiva EV also puts out 310 Nm of torque and is only available as a FWD crossover. It also has 235/55 series tires wrapped in 18-inch alloy wheels and can go from 0 – 100 km/h in 9.9 seconds.
