Bentley PH debuts Continental GT Speed with 787 HP, Bentaya Hybrid with 462 HP
There are few automotive brands that can combine opulent luxury with outright performance. One of those is Bentley, which recently launched not one, but two electrified vehicles that aim to redefine what it means to have premium luxury with blistering performance.
Officially making their Philippine debut are the 2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed and the Bentayga Hybrid. Both vehicles feature plug-in hybrid technology, which delivers powerful performance while also emitting fewer carbon emissions.

Starting with the Continental GT Speed, this grand tourer comes with a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 that makes 600 HP and 800 Nm of torque. But thanks to an electric motor that puts out an extra 190 HP, the vehicle cranks out a combined 787 HP and an impressive 1,000 Nm of torque. It is then paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission with an electronic limited-slip differential and AWD system, which allows the Continental GT Speed to sprint from 0 - 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 335 km/h.
It also has a 25.9 kWh lithium-ion battery pack placed behind the rear axle, giving it an EV range of up to 81 km and can reach speeds of up to 140 km/h without having to use a single drop of fuel. When hooked up to an 11 kW charging station. Bentley claims it can be recharged to full in less than three hours.

Design-wise, the 2025 Continental GT Speed borrows some styling elements from the R-Type Continental way back in 1952. It gets a muscular exterior that’s complemented by the grand tourer’s now-familiar silhouette. It also comes with new LED headlights inspired by the Bacalar that feature a crystal diamond-cut effect. The rear, meanwhile, gets a redesigned back bumper, restyled LED taillights, and a trunk lid with an integrated aerodynamic form that aids in providing extra downforce without needing a rear spoiler. Last but not least, it’s available with massive 22-inch alloys.

Pop the doors open and you are invited into a cocoon of a cabin that encases the occupants with sculpted quilting, 20-way power-adjustable front seats, and intricate wood veneers. Depending on the customers’ preference, each Continental GT Speed can be tailored to one’s preference, like the type of leather, accent trim, the type of wood, and many more. Audiophiles will also be happy to know there are three sound systems available: a standard 10-speaker system, a Bang & Olufsen 1500W 16-speaker system, and a Naim 2200W 18-speaker system with Active Bass Transducers built into the front seats and comes with 8 sound modes.

Up next is the Bentley Bentayga Hybrid, which serves as the electrified version of Crewe’s opulent luxury SUV. Like the Continental GT Speed, this one is also a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and comes with a 3.0L twin-turbo V6 that benefits from an electric motor powered by an 18 kWh battery pack. The result is a combined system output of 462 HP and over 700 Nm of torque. Paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, the Bentayga Hybrid can catapult itself from 0 - 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds.
Since it’s a PHEV, it has the ability to travel on electric power and is rated to cover over 50 km without using the twin-turbo V6. Recharging the battery pack to full via an 11 kW AC charging can be done in as little as two and a half hours. It also has a combined range of up to 860 km, give or take.

The Bentayga Hybrid can be spec’d in both the sporty S and Azure trim levels. This means it can come with 22-inch “Scythe” alloy wheels or the ten-spoke 22-inch alloys from the Azure variant. Hop inside and the Bentayga welcomes occupants into a lavish cabin that’s filled to the brim with opulence and plenty of features.

Customers who wish to spec their Bentayga Hybrid with their preferred color, materials, and upholstery can do so via the brand’s vast customization options. It also gets a new fully digital instrument panel for that extra pizzazz.

Style-wise, the Bentayga Hybrid gets a Continental GT-inspired redesign with its diamond crystal-inspired LED headlights, a massive front grille, quad exhaust pipes, jewel-like LED taillights, and an all-new, full-width tailgate that gives the SUV a cleaner look.

Those who want to get Bentley’s new electrified models can choose between the 2+2 GT Continental GT Speed or the more spacious Bentayga Hybrid.
