GWM reveals 2.4L turbo-diesel engine for Tank 300, will PH get it?

After announcing its upcoming launch a few weeks ago, GWM Thailand has officially revealed the specs of the 2025 Tank 300 turbo-diesel. Available in both 2WD and 4WD variants, the new turbo-diesel version of the Tank 300 gets the same level of capability and features as its turbo-gasoline and HEV variants.

Starting with the most important aspect, the diesel-powered Tank 300 comes with a new 2.4L four-cylinder turbo that generates 184 PS at 3600 rpm and 480 Nm of torque between 1500 – 2500 rpm. Power is then transferred to a 9-speed automatic gearbox and is available either as a RWD SUV or with a part-time 4WD system.

These include a pair of 12.3-inch digital screens that serve as the instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment system, a power-adjustable driver's seat, an Infinity 8-speaker sound system, Type A and Type C USB ports for the front passengers, an electronic gear shifter, steering wheel paddle shifters, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity.
