Audi gives the A3 plenty of fresh new updates for the 2025 model year
Believe it or not, the current Audi A3 is now in its fourth generation. First revealed in 2020 for the 2021 model year, the stylish sedan/sportback (Audi speak for hatchback) still looks fresh despite collecting some years. With that, the Ingolstadt-based automaker has decided to introduce some updates to the A3.

Say hello to the 2025 Audi A3 and before you scoff that the vehicle has barely changed, you’d be surprised by the subtle revisions the automaker made. Beginning with the (not so) obvious first, the front fascia has been redesigned with a new Singleframe grille along with a pair of sharper-looking intakes. There’s also a new front splitter that gives the illusion the vehicle sits lower than before.

The rear was also given attention as it gets a new bumper and diffuser inspired by the RS models. These give the 2025 A3 a sportier appearance for its latest facelift. In case you haven’t noticed them yet, the 2025 A3 also gets four configurable LED daytime running light signatures for a more eye-catching appearance. Last but not least, there are new colors available for the 2025 A3 - Ascari Blue, District Green, and Progressive Red.

The 2025 model year update also sees the A3 getting a new (high-riding) variant in the form of the A3 allstreet. Finished in a distinct yellow hue, the A3 allstreet gets some rugged-inspired looks along with a taller ride height. Its suspension has been jacked up by around 15mm and comes with larger 17-inch alloy wheels which can be specified to 18- and 19-inchers.

The result is an additional 30mm of ground clearance. To complement the taller ride height, Audi put specific spring/shock absorber tuning which they claim will deliver an excellent balance between ride comfort and sporty driving.
Hop inside and the 2025 A3 has been given quite the interior makeover. It gets new air vents, a restyled center console, and relocated speakers. All variants come with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with the digital Audi cockpit instrument cluster and a wireless charging pad. Like most Audis, the new A3 is also available with the MMI navigation system plus, Android Auto/Apple CarPlay connectivity, USB-C charging ports, and an optional Sonos sound system.

Under the hood, the 2024 A3 is available with several engine choices. First is the 1.5-liter 35 TFSI four-cylinder turbo engine that makes 150 PS and benefits from mild-hybrid technology. It is paired with a 7-speed S tronic automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual gearbox. The other engine is a 2.0-liter 35 TDI four-cylinder turbo-diesel that also produces 150 PS but is solely paired with a 7-speed S tronic transmission. More turbocharged gas (and diesel) powertrain options will be offered in the future, including a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variant.
With the 2025 Audi A3 set to be offered in Europe soon, it might be a while before PGA Cars Inc. brings the refreshed A3 here into the Philippines.
