Astara plans to launch more new energy vehicles in PH amid organizational and HQ changes
Astara Philippines, the distributor of vehicle brands such as GAC, JMC, JAC, and Peugeot, is proud to announce it is moving to a new corporate headquarters and has made organizational changes.
This is part of the company’s broader plan to introduce new vehicles and products in the country, while also appointing new personnel in its organization to renew its efforts in solidifying its position in the Philippine automotive market.

Starting with the organizational changes, Ryan Bermudez, who has been the Sales Director of GAC Motor since 2023, has been promoted to the position of Brand Head of GAC Motor. His new role will see him at the helm of GAC Motor brand operations, overseeing strategic sales and marketing initiatives, and contributing to the brand’s continued success. Bermudez carries with him 23 years of experience in the automobile industry.

Next is Ralph Descallar, who has served as Network Development Head since 2023. Descallar has been instrumental in making the Astara brands accessible throughout the Philippines, and his responsibilities will now encompass the development of the technical, warranty, as well as service & sales departments training.
Last but not least is Dong Magsajo, who has now taken over as Media & Public Relations Head of Astara Philippines. Magsajo is a motoring industry veteran with over 25 years of experience in communications, marketing, and network development. He is poised to drive strategic marketing direction and brand-building efforts for all automotive brands distributed by Astara Philippines. Before his new appointment, Magsajo served as Head of Sales Training for all Astara Philippines brands.

"These leadership appointments form part of a long-term strategy aimed at fortifying our position as a key player in the local automotive scene. We are making great strides in our growth and organizational structure, and we will continue with very exciting announcements in the near future," said Luis Torres, Country Manager of Astara Philippines.
Aside from personnel changes, Astara also moved into its new corporate HQ. According to Torres, the decision to move into a new corporate HQ is part of the company’s plan to boost morale, as well as start off Q4 2025.

“After announcing the appointment of three key personnel at the end of September, we made it a point to boost the morale of our entire Philippine team by moving into our new corporate headquarters to start off the fourth quarter of 2025 and to end the year strong,” shared Torres.
The executive added that there will be bigger news to come from the automotive brands that are currently under the umbrella of Astara Philippines. Torres added that they plan to push the envelope and create sustainable mobility solutions through innovation, including new energy vehicles (NEVs).
“Over the next several months, we will be engaging our customers on a more personal level, and we will be launching new energy vehicles from our automotive brands. They will be products that are in line with our long-term strategy aimed at fortifying our position as a key player in the local automotive scene,” added Torres.
