2025 Audi A6 Avant revealed with sleeker look, more high-tech features
If there's one thing Audi always gets right, it's making wagons. From the A4 Avant to the much bigger A6 Avant, the German automaker seems to have a knack for making long-roof vehicles look sexy and classy.

Today, Audi has once again demonstrated its ability to make wagons look elegant. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the all-new 2025 Audi A6, and the automaker has decided to first reveal it in Avant form. Now on its sixth generation, the A6 Avant highlights the brand's new design language that gives the vehicle a sleeker and more aerodynamic look. In fact, Audi claims the new A6 Avant has a drag coefficient of 0.25 cd, the best figure yet for an ICE Avant.
Style-wise, the all-new A6 Avant features sweeping lines, muscular curves, and a more dynamic profile that's accentuated by the stylish tailgate. The rear fascia features eye-catching OLED taillights that highlight the A6 Avant's width and more prominent profile. High-grade models will also come with dual exhausts, a tailgate spoiler, and a rear diffuser.

At the front, the A6 Avant is fitted with large air curtains and controllable air intakes which help the wagon cut through the wind better. For extra flair, Audi gave the A6 Avant a longer wheelbase and an extended hood that further gives the vehicle its unmistakable looks.

Hop inside and Audi says the new A6 Avant emphasizes delivering a “first-class” experience with its generous space and state-of-the-art technologies. Immediately greeting the driver and front passenger is a full panoramic display that consists of a digital instrument panel, a touchscreen infotainment system, and a screen for the front passenger to control the media system. It also has a total of seven lighting signatures for the front and rear occupants for full customization.
Above the passengers is an adjustable panoramic glass roof. Not only does it allow more light into the cabin but it can provide shade with a push of a button. Audiophiles will also be happy to know it has a premium 3D sound system courtesy of Bang & Olufsen to deliver high-quality audio fidelity. Other key features that will be available in the A6 Avant include a four-zone climate control system and an optional air quality package.

Under the hood, the 2025 A6 Avant will initially be offered with two mild-hybrid (MHEV) powertrain options. The choices include a 2.0L TDI four-cylinder diesel engine that makes 204 PS and a 3.0L TFSI V6 that generates 367 PS. The 48V MHEV system provides partial electrification that can deliver additional performance while also reducing carbon emissions.
The system consists of three key components; a 48-volt battery, the belt alternator starter (BAS), and the powertrain generator (PTG) with integrated power electronics. The PTG allows for fully electric parking and maneuvering, as well as allowing the A6 Avant to run on electric power at slow speeds. The PTG even produces extra torque up to 230 Nm and up to 24 PS when starting or during overtaking. During deceleration, the PTG can recover up to 25 kW of energy to recharge the system.

Like most Audis, the A6 Avant comes with the brand's quattro AWD system. However, the all-new wagon is also available with all-wheel steering for improved agility. At low speeds, the rear wheels turn up to five degrees in the opposite direction to the front wheels. This allows the vehicle to be more agile in tight turns and have a reduced turning circle of up to 1 meter.

First deliveries of the 2025 Audi A6 Avant will begin by the end of May 2025. With that, we're hoping the all-new wagon makes its way to the Philippines before the year ends or in Q1 2026.
