Under the hood, the 2025 Patrol is powered by a new 3.5L twin-turbo V6 dubbed the VR35DDTT. It may be smaller than the previous 5.6L naturally-aspirated V8 but it makes more power thanks to forced induction. The six-cylinder makes a healthy 431 PS at 5600 rpm and a generous 700 Nm of torque at 3600 rpm. Power is then sent to a new 9-speed automatic transmission, complete with paddle shifters. The recommended fuel for the 3.5L twin-turbo V6 is 98-octane gasoline.
