NLEX completes repair of Marilao Bridge Interchange ahead of schedule
Motorists heading to Central Luzon and beyond via the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) can now get to their destinations faster and with less hassle. This comes after NLEX Corporation announced they were able to reopen all four northbound lanes along NLEX Marilao early this morning.
The tollway operator confirmed this last night when they announced that starting 1:00 AM on March 26, all four northbound lanes along the NLEX Marilao Bridge Interchange will reopen to traffic. However, NLEX Corporation did say that supporting steel poles (as well as some traffic cones) will remain on the lanes to allow concrete curing of the bridge.

Originally scheduled to be opened in two weeks, NLEX Corporation expedited the repair works as the crew worked around the clock. The tollway operator also expedited the delivery of the fabricated steel needed for the bridge. Moreover, Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Vince Dizon demanded that NLEX Corporation finish repairing the bridge in just one week.
NLEX Corporation wishes to thank the motorists for their understanding and patience while repairs were ongoing, which also resulted in the heavy buildup of traffic in the area. As for the toll holiday imposed from Balintawak to Meycauayan, NLEX Corporation said that toll fees from the aforementioned northbound sections will continue to be waived until further notice.
With all four lanes reopened to the public, traffic flow along the northbound segment of NLEX Marilao has returned to normal. Hopefully, the tollway operator will be able to remove the supporting steel poles just before Holy Week next month.
