All-electric Maserati GranCabrio, Grecale Folgore arrive in PH

Maserati Philippines ushers in electric era with launch of Folgore EV range

It took some time, but Maserati's latest electric offerings have officially arrived in the country. This comes after Maserati Philippines distributor Modena Motorsports Inc. (MMI) launched not one, but two electric models.

Say hello to the 2025 Maserati GrabCabrio and Grecale Folgore, which highlight the brand's electrification journey in full force. Revealed in full at the Maserati Manila Showroom, the exclusive launch showcases Maserati's iconic Italian design with cutting-edge electric performance. Present during the launch of the Grecale and GranCabrio Folgore models were Maserati Southeast Asia Pacific Regional Director Wallace Wong, MMI president Samuel Verzosa, and General Manager of MMI Mody Llamas.

“This isn’t just the unveiling of new models, this is the ignition of a new mindset—where electrification is not a trend, but the future, and the future is now here. And Maserati leads that vision, combining innovation, sustainability, and unmistakable Italian soul,” said Verzosa.

First and foremost is the GranCabrio Folgore, a droptop version of the GranTurismo that trades internal combustion for electric propulsion. It's powered by an 800V architecture and a triple-motor layout that gives it a total system output of 761 PS and 1,350 Nm of torque. This translates to a 0 – 100 km/h sprint of just 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 290 km/h.

On a full charge, the GranCabrio Folgore can achieve a range of up to 447 km based on the WLTP cycle. Recharging the electric droptop can be done in two ways: AC charging with up to 22kW and DC charging that supports up to 270 kW.

Next is the Grecale Folgore, which is the all-electric version of the Maserati Grecale. Instead of a twin-turbo V6 or a 2.0L turbo inline-four, the Grecale Folgore gets a pair of electric motors that deliver a combined 557 PS and 820 Nm of torque. With a fully charged 105 kWh battery, Maserati says the Grecale Folgore is rated to travel up to 500 km based on the WLTP cycle and comes with a 400V architecture.

When hooked up to a fast 150 kW DC charger, the Grecale Folgore can be recharged from 20% to 80% in less than 30 minutes. From a standstill, the Grecale Folgore can hit 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds and hit a top speed of 220 km/h.

Aside from launching a pair of EVs, Modena Motorsports Inc. is set to introduce the GranTurismo Folgore 110° Anniversario Limited Edition and organize nationwide roadshows and bespoke test-drive experiences in key cities.

“From Manila to the provinces, we’re bringing Folgore to our clients. Because if they can’t come to the cars, we’ll bring the cars to them,” added Verzosa.
