Suzuki PH rejoins crossover arena with 2026 Fronx
After a lengthy preview and opening the reservation books, Suzuki Philippines has officially launched its answer to the likes of the Kia Sonet and Toyota Raize. Say hello to the 2026 Suzuki Fronx, and boy, is it looking to impress interested customers.
Featuring a sleek coupe-inspired profile combined with SUV styling elements, the Suzuki Fronx blends dynamic looks, a feature-packed cabin, intelligent driver aids, and a mild-hybrid powertrain that delivers impressive fuel efficiency.

Starting with its design, the 2026 Fronx features a coupe-inspired shape that's complemented by SUV styling elements. The front fascia is dominated by a bold grille, a skid plate, and a split headlight & LED daytime running light design, which gives the Fronx its unique appearance. It also gets black body cladding and 170mm of ground clearance, which highlight its SUV-like proportions.
The coupe-like roofline gives the Fronx an unmistakable silhouette and is accompanied by a rakish back window that accentuates the sleek shape of the Fronx. It also gets stylish 16-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 205/60 series tires. Last but not least, the Fronx is adorned by claw-like wraparound LED taillights and comes with a full-width lightbar, giving it a futuristic and Cyberpunk-like rear.

Size-wise, the Fronx measures 3995mm long, 1765mm wide, 1550mm tall, and has a 2550mm wheelbase. Luggage space with the rear seats up is rated at 304 liters.
Hop inside, and the Fronx welcomes occupants into a sleek yet feature-packed cabin. High-grade models feature soft-touch materials on the touchpoints, paired with a two-tone Black & Burgundy fabric interior. Those looking for leather will not be disappointed as the top-of-the-line SGX Hybrid gets a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

Other exclusive amenities available in the Fronx SGX Hybrid include a high-definition heads-up display (HUD), a wireless charging pad, a 360-degree camera, and a full suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), which we'll get to later.
Automatic climate control is available in the SGX and GLX models, while the base GL only gets a digital manual aircon. A 9-inch touchscreen infotainment display is equipped in the SGX and GLX variants and comes with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay. The base GL also gets an infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, but only gets a 7-inch touchscreen.

Under the hood, the 2026 Fronx is available with two engine options. The GLX and SGX versions come with the 1.5L K15C DualJet Dual VVT inline-four that benefits from the SHVS 12-volt mild-hybrid system. It makes 100 PS at 6000 rpm with 135 Nm of torque at 4400 rpm and is coupled to a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The GL, meanwhile, gets the 1.5L K15B naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine. It produces slightly more power with 104 PS at 6000 rpm and 138 Nm of torque at 4400 rpm, but is mated only to a 4-speed automatic transmission. There are no manual versions of the Suzuki Fronx.
As mentioned earlier, the 2026 Fronx is available with ADAS via the Suzuki Safety Support. It's only available in the SGX and comes with intelligent driver aids, such as Active Cruise Control, Automatic High Beam, Blind Spot Monitoring, Dual Sensing Brake Support (AKA forward collision warning with autonomous emergency braking), Lane Departure Warning with Lane Departure Prevention, Lane-Keep Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Weaving Alert.
