Toyota reveals sportier-looking Corolla Cross GR Sport for 2025
The Toyota Corolla Cross GR Sport is perhaps one of the coolest-looking hybrid crossovers on the market today. While it may not be the fastest vehicle on the road, the GR Sport goodies give the regular-looking crossover a sleeker and sportier appearance that gives it better street cred. With a sticker price of PHP 1.943 million, it's not exactly the most affordable hybrid in the market, but some buyers still prefer it.
Over in Europe, Toyota just released the refreshed Corolla Cross for the 2025 model year, and boy, did the automaker do a number on the crossover. While the PH-spec Corolla Cross GR Sport already looks good, Toyota cranked it up to 11 when they revealed the GR Sport version for the first time for the European market.
Immediately grabbing our attention is the sporty front bumper that features a massive honeycomb-style grille that looks similar to the GR Corolla hot hatch. It is then complemented by a pair of sleek & eye-catching LED headlights and a glossy black Toyota logo placed on the center grille. Also worth mentioning are the new LED daytime running lights that highlight the hybrid's more discerning appearance.
Other exterior highlights on the 2025 Corolla Cross GR Sport include machined 19-inch alloy wheels painted black, GR Sport-tuned suspension that also lowers the ride height by 10 mm, and the exclusive Storm Gray two-tone color scheme.
Open the doors, and the Corolla Cross GR Sport gets some neat updates inside. For starters, it gets unique GR Sport seats that are upholstered in BRIN･NAUB®, suede-like synthetic leather, and features GR logos and red contrast stitching for that extra sporty feel.
The GR Sport version also features a unique Sport Mode, as claimed by Toyota. It allows for faster acceleration response by increasing the engine idling speed, while also optimizing deceleration. When the driver lifts off the throttle, Sport Mode automatically enhances deceleration that allows for a sportier braking feel.
The 2025 Toyota Corolla Cross GR Sport will be available in Europe by Q3 2025. The only question now is, can we expect the Asia Pacific market to get a similar look for the Corolla Cross GR Sport in the future?
