2025 Syros is Kia’s smallest SUV to date
Kia has one of the most comprehensive lineup of crossovers in the global market. Whether it’s an ICE or an EV, a small 5-seater or a full size with 7 seats, the Korean manufacturer has one in store.
It turns out, there’s still a gap to be filled in the small SUV lineup, and that’s where the 2025 Kia Syros comes in. Kia India has held the world premiere of the A-SUV, with plenty of features to show apart from its striking exterior design.

Like the Tasman pickup truck, Kia decided to push the vertical headlights to the sides of the Syros. Despite its diminutive size at 3995 mm long, the Syros has an upright stance with a high squared shoulder line, making it look like a scale model of the EV9. Interesting design features include the low-mounted vertical taillights, the L-shaped light bar at the back, bulging fenders, and the kinks on the door windows.

Inside, the Syros features a dual-pane sunroof for the top-spec models, showing that Kia has packed the small SUV to the brim with a lot of neat cabin features. Occupying more than half of the dashboard are two 12.3-inch screens making up the 30-inch trinity panoramic display panel, while the 8-speaker audio system is courtesy of Harman Kardon. In terms of smartphone connectivity, the Syros has wireless Apple Carplay, Android Auto, and wireless charging as standard.
Other than that, there’s also a ventilation feature for both front and rear seats, 64-color ambient lighting, a sliding rear bench seat that folds in a 60:40 split, plus a folding center rear armrest among its list of features.

There are two engine options for the Kia Syros – those include a 1.0-liter turbocharged Smartstream G gasoline engine with 120 PS and 172 Nm of torque and a 1.5-liter CRDi VGT diesel that produces 116 PS and 250 Nm of torque. Kia says both engines will be offered with manual and automatic transmissions.
The Syros also has plenty of safety features to show. It comes with six airbags as standard, front and rear parking sensors, and 16 autonomous features for its ADAS Level 2 suite.

For now, the Kia Syros is only confirmed for sale in the Indian market, as the Korean manufacturer is yet to give word on its plans to offer the A-SUV in other regions.
