All-new Bentley Flying Spur trades twin-turbo W12 for electrified twin-turbo V8
It was back in 2022 when Bentley revealed the most powerful version yet of the Flying Spur luxury sedan. With 635 PS and 900 Nm of torque from its twin-turbo W12, it allowed the Flying Spur to sprint from 0 – 97 km/h in 3.7 seconds and reach a whopping top speed of 333 km/h.
But that was several years ago and Bentley has just unveiled the all-new fourth-generation model, and boy is it better, faster, and stronger. Say hello to the 2025 Bentley Flying Spur and its plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain. That's right, just like the Continental GT Speed revealed earlier this year, the all-new Flying Spur now benefits from an electrified powertrain that doles out more power while also emitting fewer carbon emissions.

Beginning with its new hardware under the hood, the 2025 Flying Spur comes with an electrified 4.0L twin-turbo V8 that pumps out a combined 782 PS and a monstrous 1,000 Nm of torque. From a standstill, the twin-turbo luxury salon can sprint from 0 – 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds. This is made possible thanks to a 190 PS electric motor that's neatly integrated into the 8-speed dual-clutch transmission along with a 25.9 kWh battery pack.
With a fully charged battery and a full tank of gasoline, Bentley claims the 2025 Flying Spur can travel up to 829 km. On battery power alone, the Flying Spur can cover up to 76 km without using a drop of fuel and reach speeds up to 140 km/h. As for recharging the battery, the automaker says a full charge via the 11 kW AC charging system can be done in less than 3 hours.

Besides having an electrified heart, the 2025 Flying Spur also benefits from regenerative braking that can recharge the battery while on the move, the Performance Active Chassis that comes with All-Wheel Steering, an electronic limited-slip differential, new electronic stability control (ESC) software that permits a range of driving styles, and torque vectoring for better car control while driving on the limit.
Style-wise, the all-new Flying Spur comes with an evolutionary redesign rather than a revolutionary one. Borrowing cues from the third-generation model, the 2025 Flying Spur gets a new pattern on its grille, redesigned bumpers, and a new set of 22-inch alloy wheels that highlight the vehicle's immense size. Also available is the generous serving of brightwork finished in dark chrome along with the Styling Specification aero pack that's finished in body color. However, owners can have it in a carbon fiber finish for that extra appeal.

Hop aboard and the Flying Spur's interior seems to have been retained from the third-generation model. But since it didn't need much updating in the first place, Bentley went for the “if it ain't broke, don't fix it” approach. From the digital instrument panel, the touchscreen infotainment display, the high-quality leather finish throughout the interior, and the intricately designed center console, the Flying Spur oozes sophistication.

In true Bentley fashion, the 2025 Flying Spur can be customized in countless ways thanks to the “tens of billions of configuration possibilities” as claimed by Bentley. From the new diamond-quilted seats to bespoke paint finishes available both inside & out, as well as the choice of wood veneer finishes, Bentley customers are spoiled for choice. Did we mention customers can also choose the type of leather color & finish on their Flying Spur?
Other available features for the 2025 Flying Spur include a panoramic sunroof, a 19-speaker sound system from Naim, massage seats for both the front & rear passengers, satellite navigation, and intelligent climate control with ionizers.

With the 2025 Bentley Flying Spur set to become available in Europe, we can expect the all-new luxury saloon to make its way here perhaps sometime next year via PGA Cars Inc.
