2024 Lynk & Co 01 PHEV compact SUV to sell for around PHP 2.4M
UAAGI officially previews upcoming Lynk & Co 01 plug-in hybrid
Remember when we reported that United Asia Automotive Group Inc (UAAGI) could reportedly launch the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version of the Lynk & Co 01 compact crossover? Well, we need not wonder anymore as the automaker has given us a glimpse of the soon-to-be-launched vehicle.
Previewed officially for the Philippine market is the Lynk & Co 01 PHEV, and it’s giving us a good look at what to expect from the automaker. Shown to exclusive guests at Ayala Museum, the event also highlighted the formal partnership between Lynk & Co and UAAGI.
Back to the 01 PHEV itself, it features a stylish and distinct design. The crossover also combines fuel efficiency with the ability to travel on pure electric power over certain distances, as well as deliver exhilarating performance thanks to an electrified engine.
Starting with its hardware, the Lynk & Co 01 PHEV packs a 1.5-liter three-cylinder MPI engine that’s assisted by an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery pack. It is then paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission that drives the front wheels. The result is a total system output of 262 PS and a generous 265 Nm of torque.
Need to recharge the battery? The system supports Type 2 AC charger which means it can be recharged at almost any charging station. As far as its electric range is concerned, Lynk & Co says the 01 PHEV can travel up to 69 km on pure electric power alone.
Besides its electrified powertrain, the Lynk & Co 01 PHEV also features a stylish exterior. It gets Aurora Borealis LED daytime running lights which gives the vehicle its distinct face. It also has a sleek grille that’s complemented by a pair of low-slung LED headlights. The rear, meanwhile, gets Energy Cube LED taillights that make it stand out at night. Last, but not least, it rolls on massive 20-inch alloy wheels along with a Z-shaped sports beltline that highlights its sporty nature.
Hop inside and the vehicle welcomes occupants into a high-tech yet luxurious interior. It gets leather seats as standard, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.7-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a large panoramic sunroof.
For peace of mind while on the road, the automaker says the 01 PHEV gets a suite of intelligent driver aids. These include adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane-keep assist with lane-change assist, and traffic jam assist.
Official pricing has yet to be revealed although they did say that its indicative pricing is at PHP 2.4 million.
It will have its public launch at the 2024 Manila International Auto Show where its final pricing will also be revealed.
