Isuzu PH to publicly hold launch & test drive event of 2024 D-Max

After making its regional debut in Thailand last October, Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has announced that the refreshed D-Max is set to be officially launched soon. That’s right, the 2024 Isuzu D-Max will be unveiled this June and will be followed up by a display and test drive event.

The updated D-Max will officially be making its presence felt on June 20, 2024, when it will be publicly unveiled at the SM Mall of Asia Central Atrium. In addition, a test drive event will be held at Block 20 in the SM MOA Complex from June 20 - 23, 2024. The Philippines will be the third market in Southeast Asia to welcome the refreshed D-Max.

According to the automaker, the 2024 Isuzu D-Max will be the most advanced version of the pickup truck yet and will feature cutting-edge off-road capabilities, enhanced safety features, and state-of-the-art tech that will meet the current demands of pickup truck buyers. Official specs have yet to be revealed although we need not look far as to what to expect next month.

Much like the Thai-spec D-Max, the updated pickup will likely feature a more aggressive front fascia that features a new grille, redesigned LED headlights & daytime running lights, and a meaner look front bumper. It also gets new alloy wheel designs depending on the variant, a new rear cover for the tailgate, and tweaked LED taillights. Perhaps we can also expect Isuzu to bring a new shade of orange to the D-Max’s color palette.

Inside the 2024 D-Max, the PH-spec model will likely be available with a new digital instrument panel on higher-grade variants along with a new dark brown leather upholstery. Paddle shifters may also be standard equipment in the 4x4 versions together with a new display system that can show the climbing and turning angles.

Under the hood, the 2024 D-Max will likely get the carried-over 3.0L 4JJ3-TCX and 1.9L RZ4E turbo-diesel engines. The former makes 190 PS with 450 Nm of torque while the latter puts out 150 PS and 350 Nm of pull. Both engines will likely be paired with a 6-speed automatic or manual gearbox. RWD and 4WD versions will be offered although we do hope Isuzu decides to bring back the differential lock on the 4x4 variants as this is something pickup truck buyers have been looking forward to.

“This new Isuzu D-MAX will be loaded with features that the market will truly enjoy. It comes from the process of listening to our clients and assessing their needs so that ultimately, we can provide to them a pick-up that is capable to bring them ‘Into New Heights’,” said Robert Carlos, IPC Assistant Sales Division Head.

For those interested in reserving one, you'd better call your nearest or preferred Isuzu dealership to let them know you’re eager to get one.
